How To Clean Your Wig Correctly ---4 Aspects You Should Mention!

How do you clean your wig usually? The correct methods of cleaning will maximize the life of your wig and help to maintain the quality of its appearance. How many aspects should we attention?

1. How long should I clean my wig?
Guides for cleaning your wig will always say you should clean your wig after 10-15 days. No, it depends where you’ve been wearing your wig, and how many hours per day you’ve been wearing it. So, it is recommended that you wash your wig every 6-8 wearings. More times you wear, more frequently you should clean it, but do not wash it too often.

2. How should I wash my wig?
A.Pre-Wash: Remove your wig; Gently brush the wig thoroughly with a wig comb or brush to remove any tangles.
B.Shampooing: Ready a pot of cold water and one tablespoon of the wig shampoo. Immerse wig for one minute and stir the water gently. Do not rub. Slide your hand over the hair repeatedly until it is clean. Be particularly gentle on any hand tied areas of the wig cap as this area is the most fragile. Rinse the shampoo out of the wig in cold clear water until thoroughly rinsed. Blot the wig gently with a towel. Do not squeeze or wring. Rinsing is particularly important. If not done correctly, the wig will become very tangled. Once the shampoo has been applied throughout the wig and its cap, it must be carefully rinsed with cold water. The direction of the water flow is crucial in order to maintain a smooth and silky wig. The water should flow in the direction of the wig’s hair, from root to tip. If water flows in any other direction, tangling can easily occur. The wig must be rinsed thoroughly, to ensure that no shampoo is left in the fibers.

3.Conditioning:The wig should still be wet from washing. Apply a small amount of wig conditioner to your hands and rub together. Carefully work the conditioner through the hair, avoiding the cap. You want to keep conditioner away from the cap. On hand tied areas especially, the conditioner can cause the hand tied knots to become untied, resulting in hair loss. Thoroughly rinse the conditioner from the hair over cold running water. Instead of using regular conditioner, an alternate method is to very lightly spray your wig with conditioning spray, spraying 10-12 inches from the hair.
4. Drying: The most important is avoid the use of hair dryers on hair wigs, as the heat can cause extreme damage, and could potentially ruin the entire wig. Wigs must always be air-dried in an upright position on top of a tall, slender object. Wig stands are the best drying mechanism, but, any tall, slender object can be used.

3. Necessary Equipment for Washing Wigs

4. How should I store my wig?

When you are not using your wig always keep it on an “open air wig stand” or styling head. This will ensure it breathes and moves odors out. Store it away from the windows that receive strong sunlight for most of the day. Do not store it in a plastic bag. You can cover it with a scarf to keep dust off.

Why Pre-Shampooing Is So Important For Protecting Your Hair

Many customers told us that they hate washing their hair. The thick, curly hair texture makes it super tedious, time-consuming, it will make them soul-sucking.
For this problem, I suggest adding a "pre-shampoo" treatment to your hour-long routine. Then, I thought about it like this: Much like pre-blowout strands need heat protect ant TLC, processed and damaged hair needs a shield of its own before cleansing—especially if it's colored.

"The majority of your color is lost by simply rinsing your hair with water in the shower," explains by Unice hair stylist "Even if you use a mild shampoo, you still lose more from the water rinse itself."
Pre-Shampoo Treatment is formulated with color seal technology that insulates the hair before you even step into the shower. All you have to do is apply it to dry hair, spend five minutes scrolling through Instagram, and then hop in.

What's more is that the powerhouse cream contains UV and thermal protestants to improve overall hair health. Damaged hair is more porous, and more porous hair loses color from rinsing more easily. Because it prevents and corrects age-related damage in one fell swoop, the treatment is already being likened to retinal for hair. And what woman wouldn't want to ward off the mane equivalent of fine lines and wrinkles?
If you bleach your hair and do all sorts of crazy things to it, but now you want it to look good forever. I introduced the pre-shampoo step to your regimen on principal alone. It just made sense. Then, after one of my few-and-far-between washes, I noticed that my months-old color was less brassy than it should be.

Steps to do Pre- Wash Oil Treatment

Step 1:- Divide your hair into 4-6 sections.
Step 2:- Throughout each section apply any oil whether it is pure coconut olive oil or avocado oil. Put oil on every Layer of your hair. Depending on your hair length and thickness use 2-4 tablespoon of oil.
Step 3:- To keep the oil from dripping down your face and neck cover your hair with a shower cap.

Step 4:- Leave it for about an hour or overnight.
Step 5:- Remove tangles or knots, comb your hair before washing your hair.

Step 6:- Wash and condition your hair the next morning.
Step 7:- Be regular with the Pre –wash oil treatment to soften and strengthen hair.
